Warehouse Manager

About this Opportunity

We are seeking a warehouse manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the diaper bank's warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that diapers and other supplies are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. The Volunteer Warehouse Manager will coordinate with other volunteers and staff to maintain an organized and smooth-running facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Oversee the receipt, storage, and organization of diaper donations and other supplies.

Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking incoming donations and outgoing distributions.

Regularly conduct inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify needs.

Volunteer Coordination:

Train, supervise, and support warehouse volunteers, ensuring they understand and perform their tasks effectively.

Schedule volunteers for warehouse shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all tasks.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all volunteers.

Warehouse Operations:

Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Work with partner pick up volunteers to coordinate the distribution of diapers to partner agencies.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols within the warehouse.

Conduct regular safety checks and address any issues promptly.

Train volunteers on proper lifting techniques, use of equipment, and other safety measures.

Communication & Reporting:

Communicate regularly with the Executive Director/Operations Manager about warehouse needs, challenges, and successes.

Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels and distribution activities.

Serve as the point of contact for warehouse-related inquiries.

Days/hours: We ask for at least 4 hours a month, Monday-Sunday. Must be present on diaper delivery days. Must be physically able to lift up to 10lbs, bend, use a pallet jack.
