About this Opportunity
As a Diaper Bank Program Development Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing diaper bank programs to support families and caregivers in need. Your
responsibilities will encompass various tasks related to program planning, outreach, coordination, and support to ensure the effective operation and growth of the diaper bank
initiative.
Responsibilities include:
Program Planning:
- Collaborate with the program coordinator or team to develop strategic plans for diaper bank initiatives.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for program improvement and expansion.
- Assist in drafting program goals, objectives, and timelines.
Networking:
- Represent the diaper bank at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote awareness and gather support.
- Communicate effectively with potential donors, sponsors, and volunteers to foster relationships and solicit support for the program.
Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator on recruiting and training volunteers to support various aspects of the diaper bank program, such as sorting, packaging, and distribution.
Donation Management:
- Work with the Diaper Drive Coordinator to organize donation drives and fundraising events to collect diapers, wipes, and other essential items for distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of donations received, including quantities, sources, and distribution channels.
- Coordinate with donors and partners to ensure timely delivery of donated items and manage inventory levels effectively.
Program Evaluation and Reporting:
- Assist in collecting data and feedback to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the diaperbank program.
- Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges for review by the program coordinator or management team.
- Participate in discussions to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address any issues or concerns.
Days/hours: We ask for at least 5 hours a week, Monday-Sunday flexibility. Work can be done
via telework or in office.
