Dental Hygienist

Many individuals in the eastern Iowa community cannot afford to go to a dentist His Hands installed a BRAND NEW, two-operatory dental unit in February 2012. We currently have over 100 names on our wait list. Over 50% of those waiting for care report agonizing dental pain. YOU CAN HELP. Dentists volunteering for 3 hours, once a month, can assist up to 48 patients a year. Those are patients who would otherwise have no access to dental care. Hygiene is vital for ongoing dental health. After our clients see the dentist and get the necessary dental work completed, they need to be able to have regular cleanings. THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!! Volunteering is easy and fun. Our operatories contain new equipment, are well-maintained, and are fully digital. And while we are limited in the number of services we can offer to patients, you can be assured that every patient you see will be eager and grateful Help us give the people in our community new smiles - and a new lease on life | Volunteers must have an unrestricted Iowa license, professional malpractice insurance or become a participant in the Volunteer Health Care Provider Program through the Iowa Department of Public Health
