Meals on Wheels - Maple Valley - Meal Packer needed!

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Packer: A Volunteer is needed to help pack meals on Wednesday mornings, every other week. As a packer, you will bag the meals that get delivered to homebound seniors. When a delivery goes well drivers leave with the right bags to deliver, and clients receive the meals they ordered and its you we can thank. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering longer term.

Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.

Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more.
