Bring Comfort Through Caring TouchUnified Care Hospice is seeking a compassionate and licensed Massage Therapy Volunteer to provide comfort, relaxation, and a healing presence to our hospice patients. Your gentle touch and empathetic care can offer physical relief and emotional peace during the final stages of life. This is a meaningful opportunity to use your skills to support patients and their families with dignity, presence, and compassion.
What You’ll Do: Provide gentle, non-invasive massage to hospice patients to support comfort and reduce pain, anxiety, and stress.Work under the guidance of the hospice clinical team to ensure massage is appropriate to the patient’s condition. Visit patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Maintain a calm, compassionate presence and provide emotional support through touch. Document visits and report patient responses to the hospice volunteer coordinator.
Qualifications: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Texas (required). Previous experience with elderly or medically fragile individuals preferred. Must complete Unified Care Hospice volunteer orientation and training. Ability to work independently and follow patient safety protocols. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Commitment to confidentiality, dignity, and respect.
