Gardeners needed to tend Agrace HospiceCare Gardens!

Agrace has beautiful gardens thanks to the labor and love of gardening volunteers! The gardens provide a peaceful and renewing space for Agrace patients, visitors, and staff. Agrace is looking for volunteers to help care for the grounds and gardens at our facility in Fitchburg. Volunteers workweekly or every-other-weekduring the spring/summer/fall season. Duties include planting, watering, weeding, mulching and enjoying bringing joy to others. Volunteers should be comfortable digging, lifting, bending, etc. and enjoy being outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements for this position include the following; completion of the volunteer application, 2 references, 2-step TB test and attendance at an orientation session. Volunteers will be given general hospice gardening training prior to being assigned a particular gardening area.
