Provide companionship and support to patients at Agrace HospiceCare Inpatient Unit

Be part of the amazing team providingsupport toour patients! This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy working directly with patients and like to do a variety of different things.

Inpatient and Residential Unit Direct Care Volunteers will provide companionship to patients by sitting bedside, assist patients with menu selections, deliver meals, assist with feeding patients and taking patients for walks around the Agrace building in Fitchburg. They will also help with other needs as they arise.

Requirements for this position include the following: completion of the volunteer application process and an orientation session. Volunteers will complete a 12-hour training course which is provided by Agrace. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and will require a 2-step TB test and yearly TB screening, which is paid for by Agrace.
