About this Opportunity
STEM Fest Welcoming Crew/Bus Wranglers
Utah STEM Fest has thousands of students attend every year, and those students are coming to us, mostly, on school buses. We need enthusiastic volunteers to help make sure these students and the educators attending with them, know where to go! That's where you come in.
We need at least 8 people per shift to help us. These people will help direct school buses, and their drivers, to where they need to go. You will be working in teams, so tell a friend to sign up for the same shift to work together!
This is our biggest volunteer need for Utah STEM Fest. We rely on our fantastic volunteers to help make the drop-off/pick-up process as smooth as possible.
What You Should Know:
- The STEM Action Center is running this event.
- This shift is outdoors.
- When you get to the event, please check in at volunteer check in (inside the building).
- There will be STEM Action Center employees and interns there to help you with any questions.
- You will get a sweet STEM Action Center t-shirt to wear during the event and then you get to take it home with you.
- Utah STEM Fest is the best event of the year, so you won't want to miss it.
What is Utah STEM Fest?
One of the best ways to engage students in science, technology, engineering and math is through hands-on activities. Utah STEM Fest does just that and much more!
Utah STEM Fest allows companies to showcase STEM careers and their support for education and local communities. This free event offers students dynamic opportunities to engage with interactive experiences. Industry representatives open up a world of exciting STEM career and education possibilities. Students will have the valuable chance to begin networking with some of Utah's top employers and schools.
