Hospice Companion Volunteers

Elara Caring Hospice volunteers are compassionate, giving individuals from all walks of life who share the gift of time to enhance the lives of others. No special skills are necessary just a listening ear and an open heart.Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice Team. Their unique skills and interests help to provide comfort, and enhance quality of life for our patients and their families.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Companionship to hospice patients and respite to caregivers
Supportive presence at the bedside of patients in their final days or hours
Recording patient memories and stories for the patients family to have as a keepsake
Supporting Veteran patients and Veterans events
Certified pet therapy dogs visiting patients in homes or facilities
