Enjoy Senior Moments at the State Fair! A Unique Team-Building Opportunity

Bring your corporate or community group and take part in this unique team-building activity! On opening day, August 21st, you'll have the chance to help our Care Center residents (average age of 87!) experience The Great Minnesota Get-Together.

For this special event, each Care Center resident will be paired with a team of two volunteers and one Lyngblomsten staff member. All residents will be in a wheelchair, have their own money, and be ready to have fun!

What to Expect as a Volunteer

Help us keep this beloved Minnesota tradition going for our older adult residents. Volunteers receive free admission to the Fair and spend the morning with a group of volunteers, staff, and residents. You'll become "Fair Friends" for the morning, helping your resident navigate the Fair and participate in desired activities. Share laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments as you explore the Fair together.

Please note: Volunteers must be able to push a wheelchair a few blocks to get to the fairgrounds and back again, as well as at times while at the fair. Lyngblomsten staff will also be on hand to assist.

After your shift, you can return to the Fair later if you choose (just remember to get your hand stamped).
