About this Opportunity

Hospice Volunteers may visit patients, provide temporary relief, and support grieving caregivers. Patients may be visited at their home, a facility, the Supportive Care Unit at Randallia hospital, or at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Volunteer tasks can include companionship visit, caregiver relief, pen pans, phone calls, reading to the patient, walking with the patient, playing music, etc. Volunteers may choose to visit patients in Columbia City, Fort Wayne, Huntington, Wabash, Auburn, Angola, Kendallville, LaGrange and the surrounding communities in Northeast Indiana.

Requirements: Orientation & training through Parkview Hospice, willing to complete background check, 18 years or older, complete occupational health requirements, and provide necessary documentation required for program.
