Second Chance Shop Volunteer

The Suffield Auxiliary of The Village for Families & Children is looking for new members from Suffield and surrounding towns to support the efforts of our store, Second Chance Shop Suffield.

Second Chance Shop Suffield is an upscale secondhand shop in the heart of downtown Suffield, run entirely by a volunteer Membership Auxiliary. All proceeds from the shop benefit The Village for Families & Children, an organization in Greater Hartford that works to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.

Membership Requirements: -Be at least 21 years of age. -Ability to work a 3.5 hour shift each month in the shop (shifts are 10am-1:30pm & 1:30pm-5pm, Monday-Saturday). -A minimum of one-year commitment is requested. -Members are required to pay $10/year in dues. These dues help fund mailing costs, a membership directory, and social events.

-You will have exclusive opportunities to learn more about the work of The Village at the Hartford campus. -You will become part of an incredible community of volunteers! Each shift at the shop has at least two members, and there are two to three social events each year.
