About this Opportunity
Volunteer at Kansas City's ONLY furniture bank! Flourish serves a unique need with relation to dignified housing in our community: the need for furniture and household essentials to live in a manner that promotes family and community connection. Flourish is a non-profit agency and the only furniture bank in Kansas City. We are the only organization providing an ENTIRE home of furniture and essentials to individuals as they obtain housing. By partnering with a wide variety of agencies, Flourish serves individuals that have experienced housing instability for a variety of reasons including domestic violence, aging out of foster care, immigration, re-entry from incarceration, eviction, disability, and more.
Volunteer opportunities range from sorting and packing donations, sewing and woodworking, loading and moving furniture, and more. Whether you'd like to pack dish sets or repair a dresser, Flourish has something for everyone.Volunteer Days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:30am-12:30pm, and Tuesday Evenings from 5pm-8pm.
