About this Opportunity

Beneficiary: FLITE Center
FLITE Center mission is to guide those aging out of foster care and other vulnerable youth for a successful journey to independence through education, employment, housing health and wellness, and system of care coordination.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.  For this month, we are encouraging youth to collect and assemble Mental Health Awareness Tote for the community being served at FLITE Center.

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL STEPS (missing steps will delay hours verification process):

  • Follow the instructions in the packet.
  • Fill Out the DIY Documentation Form (THIS STEP IS REQUIRED)
  • Mail or drop off your completed project to HandsOn South Florida
  • ** For all DIY Projects, you do not need to wait for confirmation.
    Once you have expressed interest and accessed the instructions (above under "2"), you are free to begin the project and submit upon completion.

    DIY collection will be held on the following dates:

    May 5th 12:00PM-4:00PM
    May 7th 8:30AM-12:00PM
    May 12th 11:00AM-3:00PM
    May 15th 8:30AM-12:00PM

    The last day to drop off the Mental Heath Awareness Totes  will be Thursday, May 15th.

    Please drop off DIY projects at the HandsOn South Florida office, located at 5815-B North Andrews Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.

    *Late DIY Project submissions will not be accepted*
