About this Opportunity

In need of volunteers to help distribute food, load cars, or assist with traffic control.

Why: We consistently reach hundreds of families and over a thousand people each pantry, giving away thousands of pounds of food.

Who: Sowing Seeds for Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 2005 whose mission is to provide food for the hungry, respond to emergencies for those in need, and to eliminate hunger in the communities in which we serve.

What to Expect:
  • Volunteers will be responsible for organizing donated goods to be distributed. This includes breaking down pallets to evenly distribute food to each family.
  • Volunteers will also assist in loading goods into cars and traffic control.
  • Occurs on the first and third Wednesday of each month, between 10am to 12pm.
  • We are like family here and have volunteers with over 10 years of experience in the organization.
What's Required:
  • Sign in and Signed Waivers are all required before volunteering, which will be provided on site.
  • Must wear closed toed shoes.
  • Please be able to commit to at least 3 hours of service. We distribute food from 10am and end at 12pm. Set up is 45min and clean up is 45min. We ask that volunteers arrive by between 8:45am-9:15am, so we can start promptly at 10am.
