Join Maya CARE Foundation as an Elderly Assistance Volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior citizens. This role involves providing essential support and companionship to elderly individuals, helping them navigate daily tasks and improve their quality of life.

Purpose: The purpose of this volunteer opportunity is to aid elderly individuals in managing their daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and providing emotional support. This role is crucial in helping the elderly maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with paperwork and administrative tasks.
  • Help with shopping and running errands.
  • Guide the elderly in using gadgets and technology.
  • Read to those with failing eyesight.
  • Accompany them to doctor visits and provide support during medical appointments.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support during hospital stays.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Compassion and empathy towards the elderly.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of technology to assist with gadgets (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Patience and reliability.
  • No prior experience is required.

Location: Pune. 3-5 km from your location

Time Commitment: Flexible time slots are available; volunteers can choose their hours. Each service session is typically short in duration, making it easier to fit into various schedules.

Compensation:
Volunteers are paid Rs. 50 per hour and travel expenses as compensation.

Number of Volunteers: Open to multiple volunteers based on demand and availability.
