About this Opportunity


The American Cancer Society’s Nashville Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when traveling for their cancer treatment. Not having to worry about lodging allows guests to focus on getting better. Our mission is to provide a community-driven, supportive environment. We achieve this through qualified caring staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of kindness and respect, and upholding a clean, comfortable facility while instilling hope with aflare of Tennessee hospitality. 

Our Cooking Up Hope volunteer program connects our community with guests through fellowship and food. Groups/teams usually provide the meal, but an individual can host.

Important Details:
  • Groups are solely responsible for purchasing and serving the meal.
  • Groups pick a date and time that works for them.
  • Meals can be catered or cooked at the Hope Lodge.
  • Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner are available options.
  • Each meal lasts at least 1 hour and no longer than 2.
  • Prepare food for an average headcount of 35 guests.
  • Volunteer groups are asked to clean up their food/space before leaving. 
The Hope Lodge does have some serving supplies, but replenishing the plates/cups/napkins is always appreciated.

If you have available dates, we can confirm or offer open dates. We will look at our calendar to confirm one or I can send over some open ones. We will review more details and answer any questions if you are interested in learning more.
