Mission Statement
Mission
To foster exploration, creativity and cooperation among individuals and communities in the natural environment.
Top Notch Staff
Our counseling and teaching staff are mature young adults who genuinely care about children, believe in the camp mission, and have an enthusiasm for life. They are qualified in specialty program areas and able to teach skills and provide guidance. We even have international staff from around the globe. We maintain a 1:7 staff to camper ratio and all staff members begin the summer with a ten day intensive training. Each staff member has current certifications in CPR and first aid and all waterfront staff have lifeguard training.
Accreditation
In recognition of our high standards for the safety and welfare of our campers, Camp Newaygo is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). We are also inspected and licensed by the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services, Division of Child Welfare.
